Let’s Rewind To Soul, Disco & Funk:

What was it that made the late 70’s and early 80’s music so great? Something magical where – finally, for the first time in history – black, gay, straight, white, … In short everyone was united on a dance floor with music full of joy!  So we share sounds from amazing nights at Les Caves du Roy, GreenGo(s), Les Bains-Douches, Studio 54 and beyond.

There was a queen for this age: Aretha Louise Franklin.

It was in LA, a few blocks from Tower Records at 8801 Sunset Blvd, that I went to hear her sing. It was 82.

Note: Her music includes partnerships with many, such as George Benson, George Michael, Larry Graham, Whitney Houston, James Brown, Elton John, and others.

1980’s Albums:

Aretha (1980)

Love All the Hurt Away (1981)

Jump to It (1982)

Get It Right, (1983)

Who’s Zoomin’ Who? (1985)

Aretha (1986) – It is the third album with the  title “Aretha” to be released.
